Come in for free maps, brochures and sightseeing information for National and State Parks including Lassen Volcanic National ParkLava Beds National Monument, Castle Crags State Park, and Whiskeytown National Recreational Area just to name a few. Browse great historic and informational exhibits, including our geocaching display, view wild trout in our waterfall pond, take your photo with Joe Tourist, our friendly mascot, or Ed our life-size bronze grizzly bear. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is available to assist you 7 days a week, 361 days a year.

If you happen to be visiting in early October, you could have a rare opportunity to experience the region’s Native culture—the annual Native American Stillwater Pow Wow is held just a few miles from the Welcome Center, and is open to the public. The event is free, and features traditional singing, drumming, and dancing, as well as food and works of artisans for sale.
